Swirling Sea Dervish

 

Storm ravaged,
sand strangled,
swirling dervish;
a graceful sea ballerina no longer.

Why this longing to mourn?
Where have your lush locks shorn?

Gentle mother of the sea,
tossed amongst rock litter,
while stoic logs and reeds
cried silently to wailing winds.
